Third, pre-warming the soil before planting is critical. In winter, low temperatures can slow down root development, and high humidity combined with cold can lead to root rot. To prevent this, farmers should close the vents of the greenhouse two days before planting to allow the soil temperature to rise. This helps the seedlings establish roots more quickly and promotes faster emergence after planting.

By focusing on these three aspects—greenhouse sanitation, proper base fertilizer application, and soil warming—farmers can significantly improve the health and productivity of their winter crops. Taking these steps ensures better growth conditions and reduces the risk of disease and environmental stress, ultimately leading to a more successful harvest.
