Application range of ribbon mixing equipment

The mixing effect of the ribbon mixing device is softer, the friction heat generated is very small, and generally no cooling is required. In addition to being used as a general mixing device, it can also be used as a cooling mixing device.

The amount of feeding of the horizontal ribbon mixing device depends on the volume of the mixing chamber and the maximum height of the outer edge of the ribbon. In order to increase the mixing efficiency, the feeding amount should be lower than the maximum height of the outer edge of the ribbon, and should not be allowed to fill the mixing chamber. The feeding volume should be 40%-70% of the volume of the mixing chamber.

The ribbon-type mixing device has the advantages of simple structure, good mixing performance, low energy consumption, large charging coefficient, small space and working area of ​​the device, convenient operation and maintenance, and thus wide application. However, the mixing intensity of such devices is generally small, so the mixing time is longer. The equipment is difficult to clean when mixing viscous or cohesive materials, and is therefore suitable for mixing large amounts of materials that do not frequently change material types. In addition, when two materials with different density differences are mixed, the material with high density tends to sink to the bottom, so when mixing with a ribbon mixing device, materials with similar densities should be selected. In general, the optimum operating speed of a horizontal ribbon mixing device is less affected by the average diameter of the particles, while the final mixing of the vertical ribbon mixing device is more affected by the average particle size of the material.

Ribbon-type mixing equipment is often used for the mixing of viscous or cohesive powders and granules, as well as low-density fine-grained materials, fibrous materials and pasty materials. In the case of a painting device, a liquid can also be added to the powder or granule.
