Winter fish pond management points

The middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River generally enter the winter in mid-November and end in mid-February. Winter is both the season of fishery harvest, but it also means the beginning of the next farming cycle. The management of winter fish ponds will be conducted well or badly, which will lay a solid foundation for the increase of fishing industry and fishery production in the coming year. Winter fish ponds should focus on the following aspects:

First, do a good job of wintering ponds and sales listed

In order to facilitate the dredging and trimming of fish ponds and the marketing of fishes, it is necessary to carry out the ponding of fishes and adult fishes. Fish species and ponds are generally selected when the water temperature is 5 to 10 °C. In the pond before the fish to be trained 1 or 2 times, in the course of drawing the net, transport, transfer and stocking of fish, the action must be light, in order to prevent fish body injury infected with hydropodium. The stocking of wintering species is generally 500-700 kg per mu. Where there is a stocking and sales plan, the listing or sales listing shall be promptly screened. And after the pond species, the best sub-species, sub-standard storage, in order to facilitate the operation of selling fish.

Overwintering fingerling ponds should be sheltered from the sun, with an area of 2 to 5 mu, with strong dykes, good water retention performance, convenient drainage and drainage, and more than 2 meters of water storage; transportation, electricity, patrol, and feeding are convenient and easy to manage.

Second, do a good job in the dredging and trimming of fish ponds

1, the pond dredging. Keep moderate (15-20cm) silt at the bottom of the pond and remove excess silt. At the same time, the formation of the bottom of the pond, the reinforcement of ponds, the eradication of weeds, and the maintenance of channels and so on.

2, exposure fish ponds. After the fish ponds are dredged and trimmed, do not immediately release water if conditions permit. Let the bottom of the pond be exposed to freezing and thawing in the sun for at least half a month. After sun exposure and freezing and thawing at the bottom of the pool, the pathogenic microorganisms in the pool can be killed in a large amount, and the permeability of silt will be improved. The toxic and harmful substances will also be degraded.

Third, do a good job in the daily management of fish ponds

1, against shallow water. Less rain in winter can easily cause the water level of fish ponds to decrease. Some fish farmers like to shallow the fish pond water so that the fish can get to the sun and achieve the purpose of heating. In fact, shallow winter ponds, rapid changes in water temperature, and large temperature differences can adversely affect fish growth.

2, anti-anoxia. The short photoperiod in winter, the photosynthesis of phytoplankton in the water is weakened, and the oxygen production is reduced, which can also result in insufficient oxygen in the aquaculture water. Therefore, oxygenation measures should be taken timely in these waters to prevent flooding.

3, reasonable feeding. In warm and sunny weather, fish can still feed, and sometimes the food intake is still relatively large, so it is necessary to feed them in moderation. When it is warm and sunny, it can be fed once a day, or it can be fed once every 2 to 3 days. The specific feeding conditions of the fish can be controlled flexibly.

4, pay attention to disease prevention. Winter fish are prone to brucellosis, which is caused by bumps or frostbite. If the fish is found to be infected with the disease, hydromyxin may be used or 2 to 3 ppm of methylene blue may be sprayed all over the pool for 2-3 times.

5, adhere to the tour pond. Every morning, evening and evening, the ponds are inspected once. Observe changes in pond water color and fish activity and make records. When the temperature drops to 3~5°C, the pond water level should be added to the optimal depth, and check whether the inlet and outlet channels are unblocked. If the pool surface is frozen, try to shorten the ice-sealing period. When the temperature rises and the temperature rises, the pool will be drained to raise the temperature of the fish pond as soon as possible, prompting the fish in the pond to eat earlier.
