The Causes of the Exposed of Tomato Seeds and Its Control

Many vegetable farmers reported that on their first and second earliest fruits in last year's own greenhouses, fruit cracks appeared in the peduncles. One characteristic of this cracking was that most of them cracked from the flower pedicles and had sub-exposed symptoms when they cracked.

The tomato was diagnosed as a tomato deformity through field inspection. Both malformed fruits and cracked fruit are physiological diseases, but the symptoms of the two are different because of different causes.

Tomato malformation performance has a variety of symptoms, more common are: 1 pointed type. Such as umbilical protrusions, like olecranon. 2 polygonal type. The fruit grows longer and has several grooves. 3 fruit top depression shape. 4 grain exposure type. That is, the cracked grains are exposed from the pedicel. In addition, there are symptoms such as pods. The tomato cracking fruit is mainly divided into radial cracking, ring cracking, and stripe cracking.

In recent years, many tomato seeds appeared in greenhouses. The main reason was that the flower and fruit were not fully developed. The development of tomato flower organ and fruit development into normal fruit depends on the quality of flower bud differentiation. Tomato fruits, especially the first and second ear fruits, are mainly exposed to high temperature or low temperature when transplanting tomato seedlings. Usually, the tomato seedlings grow to six true leaf stages, and flower bud differentiation of 1, 2, 3, and 4 floral spots has been completed; when the flower buds of the inflorescences of the inflorescences form flower organs at the seedling stage, in case of low temperature or high temperature, insufficient water, and too much nitrogen fertilizer, This will lead to over-differentiation of flower buds and the formation of multiple carpel malformation flowers. The resulting fruits will be deformed early. Sometimes in the nursery period or during the period of transplant due to low temperature or long duration of drought, the temperature is low and the temperature difference between day and night is small, the supply of nitrogen is insufficient, the seedlings are in restrained conditions, and the flowers are easy to cork. When transferred to suitable conditions, the first formed cork tissue can not adapt to the rapid growth of new internal tissue, then the formation of fruit cracks, pods, seeds exposed fruit and other deformed fruit. This is the main reason for the more exposed seeds of the first panicle and the second panicle, which is directly related to the growth temperature of the previous tomato.

Control measures: 1 Select varieties that are not likely to produce teratogenic fruit. Such as Hongyu, Hongbao, Xifen 3, Jiahong, Lichun and so on. 2 Reasonable use of plant growth regulators. When the seedling stage appears to be long, it is not possible to rely solely on water control and cooling to control the growth of the seedlings; on the basis of good temperature, light, and moisture regulation, a “multipurpose” 200-fold solution or 0.01% concentration should be applied. Spray 25% of the booster for proper control. 3 When the tomato is watered, redrying is applied without deep ploughing, according to the proportion of 30 ml plus 15 kilograms of water, with water flushing; it can also be combined with topdressing organic fertilizer, and every 30 kilograms of organic fertilizer with 30 grams of Angray (grain) Increase the permeability of the soil and increase the absorption capacity of tomatoes. (4) It is found that the exposed fruit should be promptly removed. In order to prevent the occurrence of malformed fruit, it is recommended to spray the available boron and Indian calcium solution 600 to 800 times once every 6 days for 2 to 3 consecutive times to prevent and treat tomato malformation. Grain exposure has a good effect.

A microtome (from the Greek mikros, meaning "small", and temnein, meaning "to cut") is a tool used to cut extremely thin slices of material, known as sections. Important in science, microtomes are used in microscopy, allowing for the preparation of samples for observation under transmitted light or electron radiation.

Microtomes use steel, glass, or diamond blades depending upon the specimen being sliced and the desired thickness of the sections being cut. Steel blades are used to prepare sections of animal or plant tissues for light microscopy histology. Glass knives are used to slice sections for light microscopy and to slice very thin sections for electron microscopy. Industrial grade diamond knives are used to slice hard materials such as bone, teeth and plant matter for both light microscopy and for electron microscopy. Gem quality diamond knives are used for slicing thin sections for electron microscopy.

Microtomy is a method for the preparation of thin sections for materials such as bones, minerals and teeth, and an alternative to electropolishing and ion milling. Microtome sections can be made thin enough to section a human hair across its breadth, with section thickness between 50 nm and 100 µm.
