Correct use of diesel engine oil

First, the use of oil selection experience 1. Select the oil according to the instructions of the diesel engine. What kind of quality level and what viscosity grade oil is used under the conditions specified in the operating instructions of the diesel engine should be strictly followed. 2. Do not mistakenly think that the oil viscosity is better. Some people think that the oil viscosity is chosen to be larger. In fact, within the scope permitted by the instruction manual, the use of oil with low viscosity can reduce the friction and wear of the parts, saving fuel, cooling and cleaning. 3. Domestic engines cannot blindly use imported oil. Some users think that the imported motor oil must be better than the domestic engine oil. Therefore, the imported engine oil is used on domestic engines, especially new ones. As everyone knows, doing so is often not worth the candle. There are many drawbacks. Most of imported oils have low viscosity and cannot meet the requirements of domestic engines for oil viscosity; in addition, the coefficient of thermal expansion and the clearance for the various components of domestic engines are larger than those of imported machines, and most of the domestic engines do not have oil radiators, which are used blindly. Imported engine oil, even if the engine is under normal operating temperature, the engine oil will be too low and the hydraulic pressure will be too low, or even fail to meet the required working pressure. This will not meet the need for normal lubrication and will increase the wear of the engine. Second, the experience of adding oil 1. Add oil in time. In use, check the diesel engine sump oil amount before each work shift or before start-up. If any oil shortage is found, add it in time. When the engine oil leaks or is excessively consumed, the diesel engine should be repaired and refueled. 2. Change the oil on time. This is a necessary condition for ensuring the normal operation of the lubrication system. If the engine oil does not change for a long time, the engine oil deteriorates and deteriorates. The oil is mixed with various impurities, moisture and dust, and the lubricating performance is deteriorated, and the failure will increase accordingly. 3. Do not mix old and new oils. In order to reduce operating costs, a handful of operators retained some of the waste oil when replacing the oil, and added half or a large part of the new engine oil to use in combination. As everyone knows, this practice is not worth the candle. Because the deteriorated oil contains a large amount of oxidizing substances, colloidal carbon particles and iron scraps, etc., the service life of the new oil is greatly shortened, the wear speed of the moving parts is intensified, and it is easy to cause the burned wire to hold the shaft. 4. Prevent mixed oil products. Containers containing different grades of motor oil should be clearly labeled and used separately. Different oils should not be mixed in the oil filler used on the locomotive. 5. Prevent oil contamination. The oil container must be sealed and clean to prevent contamination. When adding oil, pay attention to the cleanliness of the fueling tool. Use a pressure-type or covered long-mouth fuel tank to add special barrels. After use, cover the lid and block the mouth of the barrel. The dipstick and the filling port are covered with gauze. In addition, fine copper wire mesh can be used when adding oil. 6. Do not add more oil, not less. The hazard of engine oil is known to everyone. Therefore, some users are afraid of lack of oil and burn tiles. They think that the total amount of added engine oil is better than that of less. Therefore, fuel is often not supplied as required to make the amount of oil exceed the standard. In fact, too much oil has many hazards: (1) The crankshaft agitates while the engine is working, causing the engine oil to foam and deteriorate, increasing the crankshaft rotation resistance, thus not only increasing the engine oil consumption, but also reducing the engine power. (2) Due to the increased combustion of engine oil into the combustion chamber, the consumption of oil increases. (3) Accelerated carbon deposition in the combustion chamber and the engine is prone to deflagration. Therefore, it is wrong for the engine oil to be much better than normal. Generally, the oil surface line should be slightly lower than the scale on the oil dipstick. The oil level is too high and will be counterproductive.
