8 Water Quality, Water Level Management Water quality management is suitable for the growth of shrimp, and no special management is required. It is advisable to keep the water level at 50cm in the first 5-10 months of cultivation, which can increase the water temperature and accelerate the growth of alfalfa. From October to April, the water level is kept above 1 meter to prevent freezing. In winter, it is necessary to ensure that the water level of the Dianchi Lake is more than 1 meter, and the surroundings are kept quiet to prevent vibration.
