Three methods for raising cows in science
Feeding and feeding methods are used to feed more concentrates and feed less raw material from the 15th day before labor to the peak of milk production (30-45 days after childbirth). The limited-feeding method applies limited pre-natal intake to healthy, well-fed dairy cows. During the dry period, feed more quality green and blue succulent feed or dried grass, and feed less concentrate (less than 4 kg per day). After 1 week of calving, increase the amount of concentrate 0.3-0.5 kg per cow per day until the daily feed. The concentrate reaches 17 kilograms.
Alternating feeding method in order to stimulate the appetite of dairy cows, to achieve the purpose of high yield and stable production, concentrates should be fed regularly over a period of time. From 10 to 20 days after delivery, dairy cows will feed 8 kg of green hay, 10 kg of silage (12 kg of green grass or vegetable leaves), and 7 kg of concentrate each day for one week. Then gradually reduce the concentrate to 3kg, dry grass to 11kg, and the juicy feed (grass, vegetable leaves, tubers, etc.) to 30kg. Others remain unchanged for one week, and then gradually increase the concentrate to 13 Kilograms are kept until the end of milk production peak.
