The United States is researching and developing intelligent prostheses

Release date: 2010-09-25

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has approved a $34.5 million research grant to fund the research of intelligent prosthetic systems at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in Maryland. At present, this research has made breakthrough progress and is about to undergo human testing.
APL scientists and engineers have developed two complex prototype systems, and their final version, MPL (Modular Prosthetics), provides 22 independent joints, even each finger can be independently active. And the total weight is only about 9 pounds.
In addition, the project team has developed implantable microchips that record brain signals and generate electrical signal stimuli at specific parts of the brain. They will also conduct experimental and clinical trials demonstrating the safety of implantable cranial nerve interfaces and the ability to effectively control prostheses.
APL Lab plans to conduct a trial of patients with high paraplegia during the year. They say that these high paraplegic patients are in a different situation than other amputees, and most of what they want to do is completely dependent on others. If the prosthetic system developed can be successful, it will bring great convenience to the lives of these patients.

Sunson Denim Finishing Enzyme is designed for denim finishing processing. Cellulase is regarded as a "biological pumice", which makes the indigo dye separated from denim on the washing process, and a few doses of enzyme can replace several kilograms of pumice. The less use of pumice, the smaller  damage to the clothing and the smaller loss of the machine and the less sand dust in the washing environment. "Biological pumice" provides a possibility for increasing the effect of the finishing process. For example, it is possible to decolorization jeans without damaging the fabric. And the washing machine can contain less pumice and more clothing, and can also improve the production efficiency greatly.

Coenzyme N-3000 is high concentrated and neutral cellulase preparation, which is designed specially for denim abrasion process. It is only recommended for formulations that are used in bio-washing of denim garments and acts on denim garments to impart high abrasion and fading effect, which can also be used for the processing of the cotton, hemp, viscose, yarn and Lyocell.

Coenzyme NL Ultra is high concentrated and liquid neutral cellulase preparation. It is specially developed for fabric and garment biopolishing under neutral condition; it can combine with hydrogen peroxide removal in the same dye bath, and is exclusively designed for formulator.

Coenzyme NL Ultra II is new developed and high concentrated neutral cellulase preparation. It is designed for fabric and garment biopolishing under neutral condition, and specially developed for denim abrasion with high contrast and low back staining; it can combine with hydrogen peroxide removal in the same dye bath, and is exclusively designed for formulator.

Benefits:

Excellent Bio-polishing effect

Clean and even fabric surface
Softer handfeel
Brighter colors
Environmental-friendly & bio-degradation

This product should be stored in a cool and dry place in sealed container, avoiding insolation, high temperature and damp.  The product has been formulated for optimal stability. Extended storage or adverse conditions such as higher temperature or higher humidity may lead to a higher dosage requirement.

Enzyme preparations belong to protein, which may induce sensitization and cause anaphylaxis in sensitized individuals. Long-term exposure may cause minor irritation for skin, eyes or nasal mucosa, so any direct contiguity with human body should be avoided. If irritation or allergic response for skin or eyes develops, consult a doctor.
