The reason for the automatic shift

The phenomenon of automatic gearshift is: When the tractor is driving in a certain gear, it suddenly loses driving force or even stops, and the engine speed increases.

The reason for the occurrence of the unshifting is mainly due to the unreliable function of the locking mechanism, the failure of the gear tooth shape or the gear and the shaft, and the additional axial force of the gear. E.g:

(1) Improper operation, the shift lever is not pulled into place, only part of the gear width of the two gears meshes, the steel ball does not fit into the locking groove of the fork shaft, or the gear lever end wears large, and it is not guaranteed that the full gear width is engaged and the vibration is Or under the action of an additional axial force, the sliding gear is moved out of engagement.

(2) The tooth surface is ground into a taper shape, or the splined joint of the gear and the shaft is beveled. Especially under the heavy load, the gear is subjected to additional axial force, and is larger than the locking force generated by the locking spring. It is pushed away and automatically gets out of gear.

(3) The shift fork is deformed or worn, and the center line of the sliding gear intersects with the centerline of the shaft at an angle so that the sliding gear axially moves and shifts.

(4) The spring force of the lock spring weakens or the spring is broken, and the steel ball or the positioning groove is worn badly, which also makes it difficult for the slide gear to be positioned in the transmission process to cause a gear shift.

(5) For new tractors, when the depth of the locking pin hole of the locking mechanism is too large, the elastic force of the spring is reduced and automatic shifting will occur.
