Incubation conditions

1. Temperature.

Temperature is the primary condition for embryonic development.鹌鹑 Like other birds, it can be incubated at constant temperature or warmed. Variable temperature incubation is based on the need for temperature during different stages of embryonic development to control temperature in order to achieve a better hatching effect. However, if the incubator is batched into eggs, it can only be incubated at a constant temperature (37.8°C). The incubation chamber temperature is generally 20°C to 25°C.

Variable temperature incubation should have the characteristics of high, medium, and low levels before the incubation. Temperature control varies depending on the type of incubator. The temperature of the incubator is controlled at 37.2°C~38.5°C.

2. Humidity.

Relative humidity during incubation should be controlled at 54% to 70%. In the first to the 12th day of incubation, the relative humidity is 56% to 57%. In 13 to 14 days, the amniotic fluid and allantoic fluid need to be eliminated. The relative temperature needs to be 54% to 55%. In 15 to 17 days, raised to 65% to 70%, can be sprayed on the eggshell with warm water, conducive to the young quail shell, prevent sticky eggshell.

Whether the humidity is appropriate or not can be measured according to the change of the air chamber during hatching and the weight loss of the eggs, and can also be seen from the body condition, yolk sac, and abdomen absorption after the chicks are hatched. Humidity is too low, and the chicks are dry and lean; humidity is high, the abdomen is large, and the yolk sac is poorly absorbed.

3. Turn the egg.

Turning eggs is an essential condition for hatching. The hatching method is different, the type of incubator is different, the embryo age is different, and the frequency of egg turning is different. Plane incubators in the machine outside the egg every day and night 4 to 6 times, three-dimensional incubator every 2 to 3 hours turn 1, turn the egg angle is generally 45 to 90.

4. Ventilation.

During the development of the embryo, the gas exchange must be continuously performed with the outside world. The incubator should use power ventilation. The initial ventilation period can be smaller, and the ventilation volume can be increased later to open all the ventilation holes. It is required that the CO2 content in the incubation chamber should not exceed 0.3%.

5. Cool eggs.

Machine hatching does not use cool eggs.
