Meat geese summer feeding technology

1. Cooling and heatstroke prevention. The breeding density of summer meat geese is 6 to 7 per square meter, and the temperature of the goose house should not exceed 26°C. Summer cooling measures: 1 Keep the goose house ventilated and breathe, and sprinkle 1 cm thick sand on the ground. 2 Goose outside the house to take a shelter shade. 3 When the weather is too hot, spray cold water on the ground around the goose house, or spray cold water on the goose body.

2. Carefully raise goslings. After 1 day of hatching goslings, use fresh, shredded lettuce leaves and put them in the hands. Most goslings can eat when they fight for food. After eating, first adjust their drinking water, and then spread the leaves evenly onto the plastic cloth, let them feed, and feed once every 2 hours or so. After about 1.5 to 2 days, you can eat about 70% full, and then sprinkle the appropriate amount of rice or broken rice. From the third day onwards, feeders were used to feed 4 to 5 times a day and the last time they were arranged at about 10:00. 6 to 10 days old goslings are fed 6 to 8 times a day, including 2 feedings at night. In the diet, rice accounts for 20% to 30% and green feed accounts for 70% to 80%. By the age of 11 to 20 days, the food can be gradually changed to broken rice and fed 6 times a day, in which feed 2 times at night, and grazing is performed properly during the day. 21 to 30 days of age, can be appropriate to feed the cracking of the grain, wheat, and gradually feed soaked food, close to 30 days of age can be fed dry food, and extend the grazing time. Pay attention to each feeding amount is to eat 90% full, while at the same time try to allow the gosling to drink more water, which can promote rapid growth.

3. Combination of animal husbandry. After 30 days of age, the meat geese grow their bones, muscles, and feathers before the main wing grows. Make full use of the early morning and late summer when the temperature is low, choose a good grassland and a sufficient number of places for grazing. The rest of the time should be raised in captivity and supplemented with high quality concentrates (such as wheat, corn, etc.), so as not to cause different moulting and affect the growth and development. It is usually supplemented 2 or 3 times a day, and it is advisable to eat 89% full.

4. Fertilizer timely. When the main feathers of the goose and geese grow out, fattening can begin. Fertility should be confined throughout the period, feed should be diversified, mainly rich in carbohydrates and digestible corn, rice, wheat, bran, etc., with the appropriate protein feed and roughage. Reference formulas were: corn 40%, rice 15%, wheat bran 19%, rice bran 10%, leaf 11%, fish meal 3.7%, bone meal 1%, salt 0.3%. The feed should be crushed, add water and mix it into a wet feed, feed 4 to 5 times a day, feed 1 at night, the amount of feed is not limited, so that the goose can fully eat and drink enough water. Clean the sheds every day. The troughs and sinks should be cleaned and the geese should be allowed to drown for about half an hour every other day to clean the geese. Usually after 15 to 20 days of fattening, hands touch their full chest muscles, thickened back fat can be listed for sale.

5. Epidemic prevention. Meat geese are susceptible to morbidity in the summer and strict preventive measures must be taken. Newly hatched goslings were inoculated with antiserum in time, each 0.02 ml intramuscularly, effectively preventing goose plague. When about 30 days of age, 1.5 ml of cholera vaccine was injected into each muscle. Feeding equipment is sterilized once every 3-5 days with 5% fresh lime water. The geese and event venues were cross-sterilized once every 7 to 10 days with 1% bleach and 2% alkaloid water.
