The flowers come in a variety of colors, including blue-violet, yellow, pink, and white. The corolla is usually white or yellow and tends to fall off early. Flowering occurs from May to June, making it a popular choice for spring gardens. There are several cultivated varieties available, such as 'cv. Early Blue', 'cv. Gold Coast', 'cv. Midnight Blue', and 'cv. Iceberg', each offering unique color and growth characteristics.

This plant is ideal for flower beds, cut flower arrangements, and also makes excellent dried flowers due to its long-lasting structure. The genus Limonium includes approximately 300 species, found in coastal areas, inland salt wetlands, and sandy dunes across various regions. In China, there are around 17 native species, primarily distributed in Xinjiang, Northeast China, North China, and Northwest China. Its adaptability to harsh environments makes it a resilient and attractive addition to both ornamental and ecological landscapes.
