Seven Misunderstandings of Using Concentrates
All kinds of livestock and poultry concentrates are based on scientific formulas, selected high-quality feed sources, and after scientific processing, they are ready for various types of full-priced feeds. Their nutrient composition and use efficiency are similar to similar full-priced feeds. The use of 5% or 6% concentrates to formulate full-priced feeds can effectively reduce production costs, which has important practical significance. However, in recent years it has been found that the use of concentrates in many areas is not effective. There are seven reasons for this. No brand selected At present, there are many varieties of concentrates on the market, and the quality is uneven. If we choose unqualified or low-quality products, its feeding effect will certainly not be good. The choice of concentrates depends not only on their quality but also on their quality. For example, a package of 25 kilograms of high-quality concentrate is 10 yuan more expensive than regular concentrates. After the full-priced feed is prepared, the cost per kilogram of feed increases by 0.02 yuan. For a broiler chicken, the cost of feed is increased by 0.12 yuan. Feeding high-quality concentrates can add 0.24 yuan or more to each broiler as long as it is 0.05 kg in length. This proves that it is still cost-effective to use high-quality concentrates. Feel free to change the recommended formula All kinds of concentrates have their own estimated formulas that are estimated. These recommended formulas are generally scientific, but it is not denied that some of the recommended formulas are not ideal. At present, it has been found that some farmers are changing their formulas at will. The main manifestations are: One-sided increase in the amount of soybean meal, and a high protein feed quality, quality is good, and livestock and poultry grow quickly. In fact, if some areas lack a certain source of feed and need to change the recommended formula, they should also adjust according to the original formula, or ask the manufacturer to test and replace the new source of feed and re-provision. The crushed particle size is too large or too small Moderate feed particle size not only ensures that the feed intake of livestock and poultry individuals is consistent with the level of nutrient intake, but also prevents the occurrence of metabolic diseases and increases feed remuneration. However, it has been found that in some areas, the source of the feed is crushed too large, and the feed for meat chickens exceeds 5 mm. The thickness of the feed should be less than 1 mm for young chickens, 1 mm for medium chickens, 2 mm for large chickens (4.5 mm pellets), and 2–2.5 mm for chickens (6 mm pellets). Poor quality of feed The amount of concentrate added was only 5% or 6%, and 95% and 94% of the bulk ingredients were feed sources. At present, the quality of feedstuffs in the market is very wide, and some of them are adulterated. If this high-moisture, low-protein bean cake is used, its feeding effect can be imagined. Poor mixing uniformity At present, most farmers in rural areas only have no mixers for the crusher, and uniformity is difficult to meet the standard requirements, which seriously restricts the proper function of the concentrate. The coefficient of variation of the mixing uniformity must not exceed 10%. Poor feeding methods It is impossible to have no fine powdered feed in the powdered material, and the habit of the chicken is to pick up the pellets first and leave the powders left, resulting in inconsistent nutrient intake. The solution to this problem is that one feed should not be too much, and the second feed should be done after the first feed is finished. Storage time is too long Some farmers were found to be labor-saving, and once-processed feed was used for ten days or even half a month, so that it was easy to mold. Chickens (especially chickens) that eat this moldy feed are prone to Aspergillus or Aspergillus flavus poisoning. The feed processed by the farmers can not exceed one week, and the prepared feeds should be stored in a dry place and kept properly.
