Piglet oedema disease is an enterotoxemia in weaned piglets caused by pathogenic E. coli. The disease can occur throughout the year, especially in the winter and spring, and the epidemic is more widespread. Piglet edema disease mainly occurs in weaned piglets, especially in fast-growing and lyrical piglets that are 5 to 15 days after weaning. Mainly due to sudden changes in feed after weaning, causing changes in the intestinal microbiota. In addition, the changes in living environment and climate, lack of vitamins and mineral elements in feeds are all pathogenic factors. The disease is characterized by a sudden onset and early outbreaks. Commonly infected animals fail to have clinical symptoms. The onset was slightly slower, with an early manifestation of depression, lack of food, edema of the eyelids, head, neck, and anus, sometimes systemic edema, and finger pressure marks. At the beginning of the illness, there were neurological symptoms, manifested as excitement, circling, rapid heartbeat, tremor ataxia, and hoarseness. Later limb paralysis occurred. Acute cases die for 4 to 5 hours, and most of them die within 1 to 2 days. Older pigs may have a duration of up to 5 to 7 days. Prevention: Feed supplements containing selenium and antibiotics and feed garlic to weaned piglets. When weaning, we should appropriately reduce the amount of feeding, and then add sufficient amount after one week, all have preventive effects. The treatment of this disease is described as follows: 1. Anviflorum is injected intraperitoneally. The use of anvigil injection, in the injection process, the liquid to be heated to a temperature similar to the body temperature. At the same time of treatment, stop feeding concentrates, add green materials, and strengthen exercise. 2. Use dexamethasone sodium phosphate, sulfadiazine and vitamin C injection. Large dose injection. At the same time with the fungus net mix feed, play a preventive role. 3. Selenium deficiency is a cause of edema disease, selenium can be taken to prevent edema disease. That is, intramuscular injection with 0.1% sodium selenite. 4.DM423 bacteria powder to prevent piglet edema disease. 5. With diuretic laxative detoxification, intramuscular use of injection of furosemide: gavage salt laxatives such as magnesium sulfate, sodium sulfate, artificial salt and rhubarb, sodium bicarbonate, 1 or 2 times a day for 5 days. 6. Treatment with calcium preparations and vitamins.
