Due to the thick stalks, deep rooted leaves, and large amount of growth, the hybrid late rice needs more nutrients. Therefore, the demand for potassium is also correspondingly higher. Where chemical potassium fertilizer is in short supply, the demand for hybrid late rice should be met first, and the application amount should also be higher than that of japonica rice and other conventional late rice. In the later growth period of hybrid rice, 0.2%-0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate should be sprayed on the roots of the hybrid rice, and the spraying effect should be better in the evening to meet the potassium demand during the grain filling period. It has a significant effect on improving the seed-setting rate and the 1000-grain weight. Late rice uses chemical potash fertilizer, and potassium chloride is best used in poorly drained paddy soil. Without potassium sulphate, if potassium sulphate is applied, sulfate ions will be reduced to sulfides in the poorly reductive strong reducing soil, poisoning the late rice root system, causing poisoning and adversely affecting the growth of late rice.
