The squid (Siniperca chucitsi) is one of the most valuable fishes in China due to its tender meat, low thorns, delicious meat taste, and high nutritional value. In 1999, our bureau used a 4677.5m2 brooder pool in the county fish fry fish farm to carry out the test of the sturgeon, and achieved good results. Now we report the technical conditions of the broodstock pond raising of the sturgeon.

1 Pond conditions

There are 4 broodstock ponds in the Fryang Fish Breeding Fish Farm. The total water surface is 4667.5m2. The water depth is 2.2m. The sediment is sandy, it is long in the east and the west, and it is wide in the north and south. It is full of sunlight and 2.5m in height. It is a mixed-soil structure with a width of 4m. In the middle, ryegrass, leeks and other green feed are planted in the middle, so that they are infiltrated with no leakage, good water and fertilizer retention, adequate water supply, and convenient water injection. There are 2 grazing fish ponds, 3042.2m2 of water, and 1 puffer fish pond each. The surface of the water is 1625.3m2. The number of broodstock in the pond is carried out according to conventional stocking methods.

2 Source of fish species

The eel fry raised in the broodstock pond was obtained from the river net and its individual size was between 20 and 45 g, and the average weight was 32 g.

3 Fish stocking

The pond owners, grasshoppers, and brooders were completed at the end of November of the previous year, and the stocks of carp fry were placed at the beginning of April to the middle of May. See Table 1 for specific stocking conditions.

4 feeding

In the broodstock ponds, due to the frequent injection and drainage, wild marine fish enter the pond along with the water flow at any time and carry out large numbers of breeding, such as squid, squid fish, fish skin next to the fish, wheat ear fish, rod fish, betta, etc. It provides a natural palatability feed for squid. The squid uses these low-value wild fishes to convert into high-quality fish products with higher economic value. With the growth of the individual squid, the increase in food intake can be appropriately compensated. Amount of home fry, combined with feeding some animal organs, blood meal, fish meal, scraps, etc. to meet the feeding needs of carp, the main trophy of grass, oysters, bream brooded by conventional fertilization.

5 Pond Management

5.1 Water quality adjustment: Change the water once a month, each time changing the water volume accounts for about 1/3 of the entire pond water, the number of flushing can be increased at the early hatching of the fish in order to stimulate the maturation of the gonad gonads, the transparency of the pond water body is required to be 35cm-45cm, The pH value is 6-8.2. An impeller-type aerator is installed in the middle of the pond. Each morning and evening in the summer and autumn, the machine is turned on once. Particularly thunderstorms are hot and humid. The oxygen should be turned on to make the dissolved oxygen in the water reach 5mg/L or more. .

5.2 Routine management: In addition to feeding and fertilizing the broodstock in ponds, it is also necessary to observe the development of the broodstock and the growth of the catfish. With the continuous growth of the fish, the water level of the pond should also be increased to facilitate its growth. The need for development.

5.3 patrol pond: Pay attention to the patrol pond at about 6 o'clock in the morning to observe the feeding and activities of bonito. Artificial feeding should be performed according to the amount of bait fish in the pond. If the water quality is found to be deteriorated and the bonito floats, the remedial measures should be taken promptly. , Such as changing water or starting oxygen.

5.4 Prevention of Fish Diseases: During the period of May-June, during the hatching period of domestic fish, broodstock should be caught using large-scale nets. The mesh size should be above 5cm to avoid damaging the squid when pulling the net, and to minimize the number of pulls and stick to the prevention. Combine prevention and control. Due to the relatively small density of cod rearing ponds, fish diseases rarely occur.

6 Harvest

From mid-May to mid-November 20, after the 180-day nesting, 4667.5m2 broodstock ponds were harvested for 405.7kg of squid, 58km of Muping, 9736.8 yuan of revenue, and 1392.9 yuan of Muping, excluding cost of 2,200 yuan. Net profit of 7536.8 yuan, net profit of 1078.2 yuan Muping, input-output ratio of 1:3.42.

7 Discussion

7.1 Raising the squid in a broodstock pond is mainly based on the wild fish in the pond. It uses the low-value wild fish to transform into high-quality and high-priced commercial fish. It can only be used in ponds where bait fish are abundant. Set up squid to explore a more ideal breeding mode for broodstock ponds.

7.2 Raising the carp in broodstock ponds to feed the wild fish in ponds, supplemented by artificial feeding, simple and easy breeding methods, low production costs, and an input/output ratio of 1:3.42. Through this test, it can be seen that the net income of the pro-fish ponds that are not housed with eel increases by 1078.2.

7.3 Use of broodstock ponds to raise squid, because squid can not only feed on wild fish, but also can ingest large amounts of aquatic insects, which can greatly reduce the intermediate host and transmission source of fish diseases, and the incidence of broodstock in ponds that raise squid. The probability can be reduced by about 10%, and it is actually a healthy breeding mode.

7.4 Raising the carp in a filter-feeding broodstock pond greatly reduces the amount of wild fish and relatively increases the amount of plankton in the water body, which can effectively promote the gonadal development of the filter-feeding broodstock and increase the hatching rate. Therefore, the use of filter-feeding broodstock ponds raises the value of squid.
