British scientists discover key proteins in allergic reactions

British scientists have discovered a protein that plays a key role in causing allergies , a result that will help develop new treatments for allergies .

Protein, according to a new magazine zui "Immunology" reported that researchers at the University of London School of Medicine to the mice called "p110delta" as the goal, they succeeded in preventing the mice allergic reaction.

The researchers found "p110delta" when studying proteins called the "phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase" (PI3K) family. It is one of a family of this protein. Researchers say that as long as the protein is targeted, allergic reactions can be prevented and the immune system is not compromised.

Khalid Ali, who is in charge of the study, said the method not only alleviates allergies, but also prevents allergies without affecting other immune functions. A number of international pharmaceutical giants have expressed interest in this achievement.
